This is NOT a "lost book" of scripture, nor is it a heretical writing condemned by the church.  It sits somewhere in the middle of being a special story that speaks of the power of Jesus's death in a way that is entertaining and illuminating.  We hope you enjoy this reading and get something out of it, even if just a bit more wonder and the removal of Death's sting.

My God, Why Have You Forsaken Me?

With Good Friday approaching we examine Jesus' cry "My God, why have you forsaken me?"
 
Did God abandon Jesus in his last moments on the cross? If Jesus is God how can God's presence leave him? Why should his cry fill us with so much hope?
